The Disinformation Twelve Purveyors Of Bad Medical Information

The Disinformation Dozen are twelve purveyors of disinformation that will get you sick or worse. This group of disinformation experts came to me via a NY Times article. The article contained a link to a report on The Disinformation 12.

To all the anti-vaxxers out there and all the people that do not believe there is a virus. Or that vaccines don’t work. I have only one thing to say. Where is your proof?

When I read the so-called evidence that anti-vaxxers have, it is disputed by overwhelming evidence to the opposite. The sad part is how available this information is.
A lot of the disinformation is either on sites that the twelve own or on social media. Because of this, the Disinformation Twelve have millions of followers. Followers who are keeping the virus alive and risking lives.

How do I know this? I did what anti-vaxxer supporters should be doing. I did my research. Did you do yours?

The Disinformation Twelve

Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH)

CCDH has put together a report on the Disinformation Twelve. Before you make up your mind about vaccines, read this report. This CCDH has been following the disinformation about the virus and vaccine on the web. And have tracked where it is coming from and who is producing it. The report is 40 pages, but it is an easy read. It shows what each of the twelve has done and why it is dangerous.

In the end, you may still have doubts about vaccines. But, now consider the sources of those doubts and question their motives.

The case against these 12 includes the violation of social media platform rules. Platforms such as Facebook and Twitter are slow to address these violations. If at all.

Proof Against Social Media Platforms

Recently, a whistleblower from Facebook testified before Congress. She showed that its practices are not in the best interest of the public. But in the interest of Facebook’s profits. This shores up the complaint from the CCHD that social media needs to do more to protect the public.

Disinformation Motivation

The Disinformation 12 may claim that their freedom of speech rights are in jeopardy. But their messages are either; lies, exaggerations, unproven theories, and dangerous.

And let’s not forget the profit angle. Instead of getting the free vaccine, some want you to buy their pills or potions. None of which has been proven to protect you against Covid-19. Wait, why buy anything at all? The virus is not real, remember?

Facts About The Disinformation Twelve

The following is from the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH). Take the time to read the report. There’s a summary for those that don’t have the time to read the whole document.

End of Excerpts

These stats show that a few people are producing the vast amount of disinformation anti-vaxxers are reading.  Compare this to the medical science community.

Medical Science Approach

The first thing we see is is the number of people working on the problem. In short, it’s a worldwide effort.

These experts not only produce the information concerning the virus and vaccines. But their work goes through peer review and analysis to make sure the research is sound.

And then there are the proven results showing the vaccines work against the all too real virus. That proof is the growing number of people taking the virus here in the United States and beyond.

Meanwhile, anti-vaxxers support the twelve, lose their money, risk their lives and endanger the lives of people around them.

Challenge To The Anti-Vaxxer Supporters

Before you turn against a thing, you should at least know why and have the proof to back it up. Not just words but verifiable proof. Ask yourself the following:

  • Where is the scientific proof that the virus does not exist? And if it does not exist, what killed seven-hundred thousand plus Americans?
  • Where is the peer review backing the statements against the vaccines?
  • Where is the statistical proof for analysis?
  • Has anyone that followed the advice of the disinformation dozen suffered adverse effects?
  • How much are they making off of you?

Next, Ask The What If Question

  • If the information from the medical community is correct and you don’t follow it, what is the worst-case scenario for you?
  • What is the worst-case scenario for you if the anti-vax information is wrong?
  • If the Disinformation Twelve is correct, why aren’t there any verifiable success stories?
  • And why are you not questioning the information the disinformation dozen is putting out like you are with medical information?

Osteopathic Physicians

Before I continue, let me acknowledge that a few of the twelve are Osteopathic physicians. These doctors are supposed to believe in the “whole person approach in every medical specialty.”

The following are excerpts from the American Osteopathic Association website.

Note, The inclusion of this information does not mean that American Osteopathic Association supports anti-vaxxers. However, some of the twelve are Osteopathic physicians. And it is important to know what Osteopathic physicians do and don’t do.

American Osteopathic Association

What is Osteopathic Medicine?

Excerpt 1: Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or DOs, are fully licensed physicians who practice their unique whole-person approach in every medical specialty. DOs look beyond your symptoms to understand how lifestyle and environmental factors impact your wellbeing, and complete extensive postgraduate and clinical training before becoming fully licensed physicians.

Excerpt 2: DOs practice medicine according to the latest science and technology, but also consider options to complement pharmaceuticals and surgery.

My takeaway from what I read is that DOs practice more than conventional medicine, but nowhere did I find anything to suggest that they reject conventional medicine. That is not the case with the osteopathic physicians that make up the twelve.

You would think that the American Osteopathic Association would ban and disbar these dangerous doctors. But since that is not going to happen, you need to take measures to save your life.

First Do No Harm

One of the promises of the Hippocratic Oath is First Do No Harm.

That is not the case for the members of the Disinformation 12 that are Doctors Of Osteopathic Medicine. These twelve can cause you harm and possible loss of money. Is that what you want?

Research the twelve and other anti-vaxxers yourself; it’s called due diligence. It’s something you should do before taking the word of someone that can affect your life. Then decide what to do next.

Final Word On The Disinformation Twelve

Without a doubt, the medical community in the past has made mistakes. No vaccine is one-hundred percent effective all the time. Nothing in this world is except death. So the final question to you is this. When evaluating the two sets of data, which one has the odds of causing you or your loved ones to die? That is the one to avoid.

Some would call it the lesser of two evils. I call it survival.
