The primary race results show Kathy Hochul won as I had hoped. But something more came from that victory that surprised me.

Jamanne Williams beat out Tom Suozzi. Why is this a shocker? The answer is simple. Jamanne Williams did not have the funds to run ads several times a day for months. He was not able to attend campaign rallies on the scale of Mr. Suozzi. Yet, he beat Tom Suozzi in the primary election.

What Does This Mean?
So, what can we draw from this? I don’t know about you, but for me, it says New Yorkers are done with negative campaign ads. And we recognize when someone is talking loud and saying nothing. We saw it in the ads and speeches that number 45 had in his run for president, and we rejected them. Now, if the rest of the country learns to do the same, we just might turn things around. Despite the best efforts of the Trump/McConnell Republicans and the Unjust Six at the Supreme Court, we can save this country.
