Vaccine Facts What You Need To Know

Vaccine facts and misinformation–not to be confused with disinformation- the COVID-19 vaccine question hit home recently. In my article on mandated vaccines, I related the story of my granddaughter’s school closing.

This closing was the result of a teacher testing positive for Covid-19. Because of this, we all tested for the virus. In a conversation with my daughter, she told me that she was not vaccinated. And that she would only get vaccinated when she felt comfortable.

She also stated facts about the vaccine that were not entirely correct. It wasn’t disinformation but a lack of all the information needed to make a decision. Hence the reason for this article.

Vaccine Facts

Vaccine Facts Compare The Following

One of my child’s concerns was death from the vaccine. So, let us start there.

As of this writing, the number of deaths in the United States from Covid-19 is over 700,000 and climbing. A simple search of the internet or listening to the news confirms this number.

And then, there is the claim of 6,207 deaths from the vaccine. This claim is low compared to one claiming 45,000 died from the vaccine in 72 hours. But more on that later.

6, 207 Deaths. Not So Fast

For some, 6,207 deaths from the vaccine are enough to warrant caution. That is until further investigation. Let’s see what the investigators found. The following is not a direct quote. To read what the investigation produced, click on the link below.

An investigation by doctors and safety monitors showed that three and only three deaths resulted from blood clots. Those blood clots were linked to the J&J vaccine. These deaths occurred in the early days of the vaccination process. Since then, better treatments to deal with this rare occurrence have been developed.

Death from the vaccines is rare and preventable. Death from Covid-19 is not rare but is preventable. These are vaccine facts that can be researched and verified.

How many people have died from the vaccine in the U.S.? Source Covid-101Published by Emily Smith ScD MPH

Excerpt: Between December 2020 and July 19th, 2021, VAERS received 6,207 reports of death (0.0018% of doses) among people who got a vaccine, but this does not mean the vaccine caused these deaths. Doctors and safety monitors carefully review the details of each case to see if it might be linked to the vaccine. There are three deaths that appear to be linked to blood clots that occurred after people got the J&J vaccine.

Note, While you’re at this website, take the time to see the video Just The FAQs. You’ll find it after the first paragraph of the article. In it is the history of vaccine mandates. The video is short but informative.

Examples Taken From The Video

In 1855 Massechuttes mandated vaccines for school children during the smallpox epidemic.

Jacobson vs Massechuttes. 1905 Court ruled that state police power could mandate vaccines in public health matters, despite the 14 Amendment, which protects civil liberties.

Note that states have the power to enact or block vaccine mandates. In the case of New York, the state has enacted mandates and supports employer mandates.

CDC says 28 blood clot cases, 3 deaths may be linked to the J&J Covid vaccine

CDC scientists say their investigation into a rare blood clotting issue linked to the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine has identified 28 people who developed the potentially life-threatening blockages — three of whom have died.

As for the claim that 45,000 people died from the vaccine. Read Fact check: There is no evidence 45,000 people died from vaccine-related complications

Excerpt, As America’s vaccination efforts push on, some opponents continue to spread unsubstantiated stories of vaccine dangers.

Recent confusion has been fueled by claims made in a discredited lawsuit.

On July 19, attorney Thomas Renz filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on behalf of America’s Frontline Doctors – an organization known for spreading misinformation about vaccines and COVID-19 treatments.

Anti-vaxxers And Their Source Of Information

But what about the things anti-vaxxers have to say? As shown in my article The Disinformation Twelve Purveyors Of Bad Medical Information, their information is wrong. There is no other way to say it. But don’t take my word for it. Do your research and read the article.

The Disinformation Twelve Purveyors Of Bad Medical Information

The Disinformation Dozen are responsible for up to 65% of anti-vaccine content.

Excerpt: Our analysis of over 812,000 posts extracted from Facebook and Twitter between 1 February and 16 March 2021 shows that 65 percent of anti-vaccine content is attributable to the Disinformation Dozen. They offer no scientific proof of their claims but attack scientific proof with no proof.

Vaccine Facts: Show Me Yours, I’ll Show You Mine

I have shown you a small amount of proof that the Covid vaccine is safe. As with all medicines, nothing is one hundred percent safe. There is always a risk, but what the anti-vaxxers claim is irresponsible and dangerous.

Show Me Your Proof

To the anti-vaxxers and others who refuse to fight this virus, I have one thing to say. Show your proof that backs up your claims.

  • The argument against vaccines is flawed. Show proof that the vaccine is harmful.
  • Prove that your information is credible.
  • Prove that it was reviewed by accredited professionals in the field of infectious disease.
  • Show wherein the constitution, refusal to take a vaccine in times of a medical crisis is constitutional.
  • Where does it say you have a God-given right to refuse to be vaccinated?
  • Where does it say that you have the right to endanger the public and your loved ones?

And lastly, 187.2 million people in the US received the vaccine and are living their lives. In contrast, unvaccinated people continue to raise the death rate beyond the 700,000 mark.

The Professional Responsibility

And as for teachers and medical professionals who come in contact with the unvaccinated. My question to you is this. Are you saying you don’t care who you endanger so long as you do what you want to do? Because your refusal to take the vaccine sounds like it.

I have heard teachers talk about how much they care about the welfare of the children. And how they consider them their children. If this is the case, then why not get the vaccine to protect them? The same applies to school and medical staff.

Beyond the irrational statements against vaccines, there is one truism. Public safety supersedes personal rights. This truism is the reason that anti-vaxxers should and hopefully will lose time and again in court.

It is also the reason I will continue to urge my child, other family members, and friends to get vaccinated. And do their part in protecting their loved ones.

Breaking News: My daughter has informed me that she just got her first shot. 🙂
