Genocide in Ukraine What Will It Take To Stop It

Genocide In Ukraine

Genocide in Ukraine. As the war rages in Ukraine, the world watches as a people are being wiped off the planet. Sure, relief efforts and condemnation of Putin are in high supply. But not enough is being done to stop Putin’s war machine.

Each day we see and hear of more atrocities committed by Russian soldiers.

And each day, politics drags on about what to do. Consider the following article from AtlanticCoucil.org

The West must choose: Either arm Ukraine or enable Putin’s genocide

Excerpt:

These are not isolated incidents or random acts of savagery. On the contrary, they reveal the genocidal intent at the heart of Putin’s Ukraine War. In towns and villages across the region, Ukrainian troops are encountering strikingly similar scenes of bestial carnage that point to a premeditated plan of extermination. Dead bodies lie strewn throughout the streets, many with their hands bound. Victims are buried in mass graves or stacked up in basements. Highways are littered with burned out cars and charred human remains.

Lessons From War

You would think that the world powers would have learned from past wars that aggressors like Putin do not fear words. People like Putin look to see what you are made of, they fear and respect power.
A show of force early on by Ukraine and supporting nations might have deterred Putin. As it turned out, no show of force emboldened Putin to attack.

And now that he has failed in his objectives he has no way to save face except to obliterate Ukraine. Most assuredly the act of a desperate man.

Lesson not learned from WW2

In the early years of World War 2, the United States had an Isolationist Policy.

Which meant the war was not our problem; it was Europe’s problem. Because of that policy, millions died. And Hitler gained ground in Europe. Only after the attack on Pearl Harbor woke a “sleeping giant”, did this country join the fight. But what if Pearl Harbor never happened?

  • What if the Japanese never attacked Pearl Harbor?
  • Would the U.S. have ever entered the war?
  • Would America have sat back and watched the genocide happening in Europe?

All the while saying, the war in Europe is not our problem.

That extreme thinking is not happening in this case. But, the hesitation to use force against Putin because America and other countries fear Putin was wrong.

Putin Speaks and The West Cringes?

What happened to all that talk about standing up to a bully? And since when did the west start letting Putin dictate what we will and will not do?

Is it because he has nuclear weapons and threatens to use them?

Hell, we have nuclear weapons, and it doesn’t seem to deter Putin. Or does it?

Genocide, Nuclear War, and Guts Poker

A madman will always pull the trigger. But a bully will think about it. Which is Putin?

The approach of caution through political channels works if the other side is listening. In the case of Russia, Putin is not listening. And his appointees are mouthpieces that do as they are told; or face consequences.

In these negotiations, the goal is to stall the NATO alliance long enough to achieve Putin’s objective.

  • Objective 1: the complete destruction of Ukraine’s government, leaving the country vulnerable to a Russian takeover.
  • Objective 2: Should objective one fails; enact a scorch earth policy. Destroy everything and genocide is an option.
  • Objective 3: Slice and Dice Ukraine. In other words, take over the Donbass region and solidity a land bridge across Ukraine.
    • Reason: A future invasion to continue the destruction of Ukraine.

Objective 2: Genocide Through Nuclear Warfare

The threat of nuclear warfare is not off the table as the west has hoped. So, it is time to put up or let Ukraine die. It’s time to face Putin in a round of Guts Poker, dangerous as it is. Or watch the extinction of the Ukraine people.

The Russian attack on the steel factory in Mariupol was another effort by Putin to rebuild his Russia. It is also another example of the attempted genocide of the Ukrainian people. And a prelude to Objective 3, create the land bridge thereby cutting deeper into Ukraine territory, win or lose.

In a previous post, The Ukraine Prediction, I predicted Ukraine’s victory over Russia. But the question remains, how many Ukrainians will die before that happens? And how much of Ukraine must be destroyed before the world says enough and stops Putin? All of Ukraine is still waiting for an answer.

A New World Order For Dictators?

Two questions have come to my mind as the war drags on.

One; is Putin a madman or a bully?

Answer: I believe he is a little of both. He’s no different than Hitler in his tactics and the way he treats the Ukraine people.

The second question is, will NATO and the rest of the world allow Putin to set a new world standard? One in which one country can take over another and stop NATO by threatening nuclear war. If so, it will not be long before the world sees another dictator wage war because Putin got away with this one.

A Hard Reality

One last thing, whether or not Americans want to admit it, we are the world’s police force. Or, more precisely, a part of the world’s police force.

NATO is the foundation of that force. If done correctly, it could become the peacekeeping force it was meant to be.

World peace, the end of starvation, stopping climate change, and much more will only happen if all people of the planet decide we have had enough.
Enough of dictators, destructive politics, black money deals, human trafficking, slavery, bullying, and other destructive actions.

Sure, it will never be perfect and changes will have to be made to match changing times. But this hell we are experiencing will be over and never allowed to happen again.

And Maybe It’s A Pipe Dream, But Let’s Try It Anyway

Final Word

To all authoritarian leaders who would pursue the Putin course of action, I offer the following line paraphrased from the movie Network. We’re mad as hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore. You have been warned.
